Satin Fabric is one of our most popular fabrics and is perfect for special occasions. It is a timeless fabric that is very smooth and has a lustrous, shiny surface and a matte back. Satin is used for tops, loosely structured jackets, lingerie, evening wear, and bridal, cocktail, and prom dresses.
Satin boasts a very distinct shine and smoothness that’s not found in lots of other fabric. It gleams with elegance and beauty while also being soft and even slippery to the touch. Stretch satin has about 20% more stretch than your typical satin to go along with its already stretchy nature, so it can be used to cover more surface with less fabric.
Our stretch satin is smooth, sheer, with plenty of stretch that gives it an elegant, soft look that’s not achieved by many other fabrics. It will be sure to turn heads wherever it’s seen!
What is Satin?
Satin fabric is a type of glossy and lustrous material made from silk or synthetic fibers like polyester. It has a smooth surface, has a lovely drape and is often used for formal clothing, lingerie, and home decor. Satin fabric has a distinct shine on one side, while the other side has a dull finish. It can be found in a range of solid colors and may be embellished with embroidery or beading.
