In the manufacturing process, taffeta fabric can be woven with two different colored yarns to produce an iridescent effect, printed with intricate patterns like plaid and stripes, or embroidered with sequins, beads, and other accessories. A taffeta fabric is also known for its scroop, or the sound it makes when rubbed against itself, and for not pilling and maintaining its shine.
